The Story

The rustic character and bold grain of warm, auburn mango wood take a refined turn with graceful cabriole legs and rounded edges at the top. Casual-to-formal table is constructed of solid mango wood, an eco-friendly choice whose timbers are harvested only after the tree's short fruit-bearing life. A floating construction allows the wood to expand naturally to prevent cracks, splits and warping. Open grain and knots are unique to each piece. Addition of the extension leaf increases seating capacity from six to eight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect balance bw Traditional & Contemporary! I bought this for a dinner party I was having in my new home. I tend to lean towards a traditional styling but with a bit of umph. This table is exactly that! I love it. And it has worn well over the last couple of months. Glad I purchased it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Dining set Purchased this four years ago and it is still going strong. Love the ability to expand the table or shrink as needed. Easy to change. Only reason I did not give it five stars was that it could not handle a minor spill of suntan lotion from our kids. We attempted to clean - and even contacted the store for advice, but they confirmed that nothing could be done so the finish is permanently marked. Oh well, we will call it character.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful table I bought this table for a formal entry dining room; the lines are sober and elegant, and versatile. It is not ornate, not traditional, not rustic, and not really modern either - it's neutrality in style allows me to dress it up or down for any occasion; I am very impressed with this table. I put leather chairs with it, and it feels just right. Had looked at several tables, none of which did the trick like this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features and well constructed I moved into a smaller space that did not allow for my previous large formal set. I was pleased with the price, but concerned about some of the previous reviews that indicated that they had issues with scratches. I must say that I'm glad I took a chance and purchased the table. It was delivered two months ago and is used daily. I've had no problems with scratches. Additionally, I purchased six chairs, and am planning to buy two more, as the table comfortably seats eight.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from need better quality control bought the table before Christmas. Decent style and color. The quality of the craftsmanship is a huge issue. My first delivery, table top got 3 lumpy areas, almost look like a few dents on the surface. and the 2nd and 3rd deliveries areeven worse with finishing defects on the table top surfaces and I could not make any exchange at all. the 4th delivery is not arriving yet and I'm not sure what to do if the 4th table is the same way or worse. while I'm waiting for the 4th delivery, my originally delivered table top starts to show a fine crack along the glued connection on the table top. The customer service is pretty polite with necessary response so far.The chairs are a lot worse than the table. 6 chairs, 1 chair with a large crack on the chair leg when it arrived for the 1 st delivery. The other 5 chairs show poor finishing on the chair LEGS. Rough and discolored chair legs are no match to the smooth and evenly finished chair tops and the table legs. I don't understand how C&B do the quality control or maybe no quality control? It is a bizarre.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointing Quality from Crate & Barrel When we saw this table in the store, I loved it. It's a beautiful table. Unfortunately the quality doesn't stand up to my expectations from C&B. Take a look at the alignment on the cuts for the leaf and you'll see the cuts don't align properly. There are major gaps that just show they didn't do their due diligence in keeping the wood they cut from with the table it came from. So disappointed. It's a nice enough table, but I would expect more care and attention to craftsmanship from C&B.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this piece! I purchased this table about a year ago with the Lowe side chairs in ivory. I absolutely adore the combination and I have received so many compliments. It easily seats six w/o the extension, and eight with. I use it pretty regularly and have hosted many holiday and special occasion meals on the table, and it still looks new. I should note that I do use placemats and coasters since it is wood, but there have been occasions where the kids didn't and it didn't damage the table. C&B service was awesome, as always. I highly recommend this table (and the Lowe chairs as well).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from how to repair this table I bought this table two year ago. I like the table even it's not perfect. The wood is soft, so it's easy to have scratches.Today my daughter damaged the table surface with some chemical stuff, the paint is gone for two small spots on the table. I wonder anyone knows how to fix it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Deceivingly beautiful table This table looks beautiful in the store, and could be a quality piece of furniture, if there actually was quality control. I purchased this table 2 years ago with hopes of a wonderful well-built table. I was wrong. I removed the leaf, and stored it away, only to find that when I needed the leaf it cracked when placed into the table. I immediately called the store where I purchased, and they were kind enough to replace it for me. Within a few months, I noticed yet another crack in the corner lip of the table. I was actually able to see through to the floor. Crate and Barrel replaced it yet again, only to have a table delivered with another crack in it. I even showed this problem to the delivery man before he left, and he agreed it was cracked. After this third table, I had given up on it. They did send me another table, the FOURTH one, and one of the four legs was mismatched, as well as the table not being leveled when the leaf was out. Apparently, there is an issue with quality control. I gave this review 2 stars just because the people at the store were very kind and helpful. Otherwise, BUYER BEWARE. This may have well been the batch that was delivered to my local warehouse, but I'll never know. I purchase from Crate and Barrel quite often, and have never had this much of an issue. Too bad because I really liked the look of this table. I did, however, receive a full refund.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very Easily Scratched We recently purchased the table and matching sideboard. The table is very pretty but as others have mentioned, extremely easy to scratch and nick. After just a month or two we have a deep gouge in the top surface, lots of little scratches and a big nick in one leg. We use the table daily for eating but do try to treat it carefully. I'm afraid no amount of care will prevent this table from getting damaged. If you are looking for a durable, family, daily-use dining table I do not recommend this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful, but wood is soft My fiancée and I have owned this table for approximately four months, and it is beautiful - amazing finish, no squeaks, and sturdy. However, be aware that the wood is very soft, and nicks easily. Not a table to use as a home office, but is still worth the purchase price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Table This is a fantastic table. I was looking for a solid wood table with the option to insert an additional leaf for versatility. This one fit the bill perfectly. It has a nice matte finish which offers a nice color palette and the design keeps it contemporary. I visited the store and was impressed with the build quality. The item arrived with absolutely no damage (which I unfortunately can't say about the adjoining chairs) and really complements the room nicely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite Table Ever I'm in love with this table and all my guests love it as well, even my fiancé made a comment about how nice it is, You do have to be careful as it is mango wood and the wood is soft, always use a trivet or something to put underneath anything heavy! I've had this table for 6 months now and it is amazing! Looks like the day I bought it! <3
