Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Gray Table I love this table. The color is so unique and I like the sturdy legs and farmhouse details.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful table for a great price We have had this table in our house for 4 months now and it still looks as good as it did when we bought it, even in a house with two toddlers. Very happy with this purchase.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor quality of finish I love love love the look of this table, and am 100% fine with the slight cracking of the wood (Mine cracked on the underside of the table) as I feel that it adds to the charm of the table. However, I can PHYSICALLY wash the finish off my table. We don't use it in a way that is considered destructive, but any amount of pressure on a soft rag just wipes the finish off.I have no problem refinishing the table top down the road but due to the unique wash it is going to be impossible to match it up to the legs of the table.Pretty sad that an expensive table has all the issues I am reading about here.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not holding up I posted a review about this table earlier this year and noted some concerns with the fading of the grey wash and the overall softness of the wood. At that point, I was still somewhat optimistic, but since that time I've continued to be disappointed by the quality of this table. We always use placemats and make a point of never setting anything (other than our plates on placemats) on the table. We clean the table only when necessary and only with a soft cloth dampened with plain water (no scrubbing, no cleansers, no chemicals). Despite our efforts to care for this table, the finish has stripped off in several places. Because of the unique color, the stain cannot be matched to anything available for purchase at a home improvement store, so touchups are not an option. This table may be worth the clearance price, but it is not worth the full $800 I paid for it less than two years ago.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cracked leg the first week we got it! I bought this from the outlet store on Black Friday. I was so excited because it was just what I was looking for and the price was unbeatable! After spending an hour fitting this into the car and putting it together at home, I was in love... Until I read the reviews. Most of the reviews mentioned the wood chipping/splitting/cracking. I thought for sure this wouldn't happen to me until this morning when I heard a POP. I went to check the table and sure enough there was a big crack down the leg. How disappointing!! You would think Crate and Barrel would have better quality wood than this!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice table We have had this table for over two months in a house with two toddlers and so far it's held up very well. Every spill has wiped up easily and no marks or scratches so far. I don't see the grey wash except for in very bright light but I do like the light brown color very much. Overall very pleased with this purchase, especially at the sale price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful finish We bought this table for our formal dining room table and love it! We bought grey linen chairs and they look great with this finish!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy this table I bought this table in July, it took nearly a month to deliver. Within a month of use in our kitchen, strips of wood loosened and pulled away from the table. 3 months later you would think that we took this table off of the street it is so poorly designed and constructed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap, CHEAP, Cheap! My husband and I were so happy to finally have a dining table that even the lacking grey wash couldn't shake us. Although not as pictured, the deal breaker was the huge crack down one of the legs only 2 days after delivery. I heard the crack when it happened which is inexcusable given our humidifier strategically placed next to it. We have no issues with our other solid wood furniture. I was hoping the other reviews citing crack issues would not have applied to us, but obviously this table is cheaply made and should not be sold.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good! We had this table delivered over a month ago and are not experiencing any of the issues described in earlier posts. I will continue to keep an eye out for any cracks or splitting in the table and chair legs, but as of now it is in perfect condition. The color of the set was a bit different than I expected, a bit more orange than I would have preferred, despite the gray wash, however, it still looks great in our dining room.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Beautiful to look at but low quality... I was so excited when I saw it in store and thought what a bargain for $599 and matching chairs for $99. When it arrived, the leaf had a chip in it, revealing this was in fact veneer finish and not solid sungkai wood as indicated by C&B. We got a replacement, but the new one was even more defective than the first, with one of the leaf locks broken and wood cut unevenly. In general poor craftsmanship. We are returning the table and chairs and C&B customer service has been great so far. I really like C&B and will continue shopping there but don't recommend buying this particular item.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from great style, poor wood choice My husband and I looked high and low for the perfect farmstyle table for our new house. We LOVED this one and the chairs were very comfortable too. 1 chair arrived cracked, this was replaced without issue. Within 3 months of arrival our new dining set, multiple cracks appeared; deep cracks in the legs and also in the table top. It seems this tropical wood is prone to cracking, we wish this table style came in hardwood instead of tropical. Even though this dining set did not live up to our expectations, Crate & Barrel has provided excellent customer service to rectify the situation.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wish I loved this more than I do ... We purchased the extension table, four side chairs and three counter-height stools (which were previously available) just about a year ago. The style and neutral wash were perfect for our new home. The first table delivered to us had a split in the wood of one of the legs, but Crate & Barrel promptly replaced it. The replacement table has no splits in the wood, but the wood has always seemed somewhat soft. It scratches rather easily and tends to show impressions from things like a child's booster seat. Also, the grey wash on the tabletop has almost all but disappeared. We gently clean this table with a soft cloth dampened only with water; however, the stain on the tabletop has completing lifted in some spots and everywhere else is now more of an amber/honey tone instead of the grey wash. I have been noticing this for a few months, but the wearing away of the grey wash was made extremely apparent when I recently put the extension leaf in the table. We use the leaf only on rare occasions when we need additional seating, so it has maintained the original grey wash. Now, the leaf sticks out like a sore thumb in between the two sides of the tabletop that have lost the grey wash. With the leaf in, it looks like we have a giant grey wash stripe in the center of our table. The chairs and stools are still holding strong, though there have been a few times when we've heard a loud cracking/popping sound when sitting down. It sounds as if something has surely split, but we can't see any visible damage. I don't know that I wouldn't purchase this again, but the issues I mentioned above (especially the wearing away of the grey wash on the tabletop) are certainly things I wish I would have known prior to investing in this set.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointment Although the table looks great at time of delivery, the "solid" wood began bubbling on the table surface and the space on either side of the leaf has warped to a 1/4" gap. Having to put a table cloth to prevent food falling through defeats the purpose of the table.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from so disappointed Was so excited to have this table in my home after it was delivered, but I have had to exchange it four times -  twice for peeling and twice for a huge split in the leg. Although Crate and Barrel was great about EXCHANGES, for the money spent, it is not worth the headache and frustration. Don't know what to do now. Wonder if Crate and Barrel will allow a return.
