Splurge. It's worth it.
This mix is AWESOME. Stonewall and Barefoot Contessa are a match made in heaven. I've made several of her mixes and all, ALL of them are great. Much better quality than the traditional grocery store box mixes (I can't believe that people still buy that can frosting.) Each one of these mixes actually tastes EXACTLY like each recipe "made from scratch" without the hassle. I Always have one box in my pantry, "just in case" I need to take something to a potluck or party. Simple yet decadent. YOU CAN'T GO WRONG!!!
Makes a great hostess gift too!

Easy & Tasty
These cupcakes are my favorites from Barefoot Contessa. The frosting has a smooth, buttercreamy quality as opposed to that sugary chemical quality some commercial cupcakes have. These are a little more work than the grocery store mixes but the results are so much better. No one would guess they weren't made from scratch.

Need correction
I don't know if it is a mistyped recipe or something else, the dough actually spill over the whole oven and did not rise. It made the mess in the oven itself during baking. The box directions asks for 1 cup of water and dough was not heavy at all in the beginning. It is the first item from Barefoot contessa (and I buy mixes all the time) what turned out to be very bad due to the wrong amount of water listed in the box. For 14 dollars it is a huge mistake by a company. I can buy a whole cake for this price. I am extremely disappointed.

Adult version of chocolate cupcakes
This mix was a very good, adult version of chocolate cupcakes. Rich chocolate flavor. It wasn't too sweet or gooey -- which I'm sure is why our kids didn't like it. But that just means more for me & hubby! Mix was easy to make. But the whole thing requires 3 sticks of butter which means high in fat & caloriesl.

Product
I did not make cupcakes out of this batter. I made a chocolate cake and added two large eggs, 1 cup of milk and 1/4 cup of veggie oil instead of the two eggs and butter. It turned out perfect as a cake, and I made my frosting from scratch. Saving the frosting ingredients from that came in the box.
Next time I will use this batter as directed.

cupcakes that melt in your mouth and are SO easy to make... i will stock up on these ....

Delicious!
These cupcakes were some of the best I've had. I couldn't believe I had made them myself. The frosting in particular was heavenly!

They are good but...
I dont know if it was because I omitted the egg in the frosting, but it came out very runny and wasnt as good as I thought it would be.
The actual cake is very good.

Delicious
I was skeptical that these cupcakes would taste any better than grocery store mixes, but they really do. I've tried both chocolate and vanilla and they are really delicious and easy to make.

Yummy cupcakes
Barefoot Contessa and Crate and Barrel are never a disappointment. Cupcakes are easy to make, very moist, and taste just like homemade (in 1/4 of the time to make)! The frosting is just right--creamy, smooth, and not too sweet. I have bought this product many times and will continue to make these cupcakes!

Wow
I made these cupcakes for a coworker's birthday and recieved so many compliments. People were telling me these were "the best cupcakes they have ever had!" They are very rich so a few bites go a long way.
