Large Thin Simple Dish Towels
These waffle weave dish towels are a little on the thin side. However, they are large and relatively absorbent for their thickness. I like the size and material. I expect they will last some time. Overall I like the dish towels although I wish they were a little thicker.

Totally durable
I purchased these dishtowels years ago, and they are still the same ones I use everyday. They have survived loads and loads of dishes, and are still in great condition. I keep thinking I should order more, but my other ones just won't die, so I will wait another year!

very disappointed
These towels start out measuring 20 X 30 - a great size-, but after only one washing they now measure 17 X 24. While some shrinkage is understandable, this amount is unacceptable by my standards. Other dish towels that I purchased from Crate & Barrel barely shrank at all, so this was definitely a surprise.

Too thin, not very absorbant
I was expecting these to be like other waffleweave dishtowels I've purchased from C&B in the past, but these are much thinner and less absorbent. I won't be buying these again.

Not previous quality
Anyone who would order dish cloths on-line would have to be looking for specific qualities. I've used these for 20+ years and loved them but my recent purchase was disappointing for two reasons. One, no hanging loops and two, less absorbancy. I do like that they rinse out easier.

Disappointed
I was disappointed in these clothes. I was expecting the same thicker waffle weave I used to be able to purchase.. Those clothes were a joy to use. I would not purchase these again.

The Only Ones to Have
I've bought these C&B dishcloths for years, and I don't want anything else. They have great texture and a hefty weight that allows them to last almost forever. I also love them because I can bleach them without worrying about fading a color or pattern. I buy them in quantity and give them to my daughters, who are now hooked, too!

Not as good as the old ones----
---but still better than most out there. I've been buying these for many years, so I know the older version was thicker and more absorbent than the latest version. I did wash and dry them 4 or 5 times before use - after just one wash, they seemed very thin, but they will shrink and thicken up as you wash and dry them. I bleach them every time I wash them, and they still hold up pretty well with heavy use. If you compare the price of one of these towels to a roll of paper towels, you will certainly be getting your $$ worth from them.

Good quality
I am happy with these dish towels. I got the smaller size and they are tiny, but effective for what we use them for.

I love 'em
I can't compare these to the older version like other people, but I am very happy with these towels. They work well for me and I think they look great. It is hard to find a nice simple white kitchen towel with good quality.

Change for the Worse
I've been buying these dish clothes for approximately 20 years, primarily because they were very absorbent - but that's no longer true. About 18 months ago, I noticed the dish clothes were larger, but are anything but absorbent. Noticing a response on the C&B site indicating that they'd responded to customer feedback and returned to the absorbent fabric, I purchased another set. If you're familiar with the old ones, pass on the new ones - they didn't go back to the old weight. The new ones are like trying to mop up water with a bed sheet.

Don't waste your money
These towels look great, but are useless. Don't both wiping the counter or drying dishes with these towels, as they don't absorb ANY water.

Sent to Japan
My daughter-in-law in Japan requested these. After reading the recent reviews, I was glad to see that Crate & Barrel has restored their absorbancy and given tips for maintaining them. (See futher down the comments). I'll send the tips to Japan along with the dishtowels!

New, not necessarily improved
I'm afraid I have to chime in with other loyal purchasers who suddenly find themselves disappointed in the newest version of their go-to kitchen towels. The fabric is just too thin. Gone is all the absorbent fluffiness. They are crisp and lovely but I'm keeping my old ones on hand to really do the job.

So disappointed
I have been buying these towels for years...so I was very unpleasantly surprised when I received my recent order and found out they have changed. Even though the description is the same (100% cotton), they do not perform as well as the old ones. They don't absorb water AT ALL! They are a little bigger, but that isn't helpful when they don't get the job done anyway.

Not Absorbent
So disappointed that these aren't thirsty towels! They push the water around and don't really get the dishes dry. Not happy with these or the dish cloths....bummer

Repeat purchaser of Product
This the 3rd or 4th purchase of this product over the years. They are very durable, the only reason for replacing they get stained and old. But, this a very good product, just wish the cost wouldn't keep going up.

Fantastic Kitchen Towel!
These waffleweave towels are wonderful! Oversized, crisp and contemporary. I plan to get a drawerful.

very absorbent
These towels are very absorbent and actually pick up the water rather than just pushing it around. I have found they wear out more quickly than others--but that could be because I tend to use them more than my other towels.
