Best Dutch Oven Ever
I bought this because the Dutch oven I have (my mother's Revere Ware over 50 yrs old) is not oven proof. I have been looking for some time & am thrilled I found this one. Yes, it's heavy but it produces the most amazingly delicious food! My husband even said the beef stew (that I always cooked on top of the stove) was so much better when done in the oven. I've since made several other dishes in it & they're just as good. What amazes me the most is how easy clean up is. Just let it cool, wash it with hot soapy water, rinse & it's clean! No scrubbing needed. I highly recommend this & I'm going to be buying other Batali products in the very near future. Many thanks, Mario!

Great Product
I've enjoyed using the dutch oven for soups and braising. It is so well-made (and heavy!) and looks good too. I bought it online and received it in a couple of days - it is exactly as I imagined it to look and feel. I'll be buying the 4qt one soon too!

Great cooking pans!
I bought both the 6 quart and 4 quart Dutch Ovens. I used the 6 quart for cooking soup already and it was so easy to clean up and cooked the soup without sticking. I used the 4 quart to cook pasta tonight and the pan heated up much quicker than my old 3 quart metal pan.

Makes a great gift!
This has become my "go to" gift for wedding showers and it always appreciated. I finally bought one for our home and soups, stews and braises cook perfectly and this item cleans up like a non-stick pot. It appears to be so well made that it will last a lifetime. Well priced, too!

High quality Dutch Oven
We have the yellow one, and love it. We cook with it whenever possible. It cooks on the stove top, and transfers to the oven with ease. Works great for sautéing vegetables before adding other ingredients.

Great!
This is my first time owning a dutch oven, and I really enjoy cooking with it so far. This particular one is VERY heavy, and seems solidly made. It is great for stews, roasts, and whatever needs a long slow simmer. A great feature is that the handle is also metal, so the lid can go into the oven as well.

Why didn't we buy one sooner?
A Dutch oven has escaped our kitchen collection until now. We're discovering new recipes just to have the excuse to keep using it - it's exactly what it should be: impossibly heavy, retains and distributes heat equally, ovenproof, and (bonus!) almost unbelievably easy to clean afterwards. If you've waited to buy enameled cast iron cookware because that "other brand" is 3x the cost - commit to this and enjoy what you've been missing!

Great Value
I bought both the 6 quart and 3 quart pots in yellow. The color is terrific and provides a bright spot in the corner of my pantry. The quality is excellent, particularly for the price. The pots clean easily. There is no question this is heavy duty equipment. It requires some muscle power to lift a filled 6 quart pot from the oven. However, the results are worth it. Good buy!

Caution
This is a quality, heavy duty Dutch Oven but be very careful when buying the red version, uneven finish on lids, even missed spots and a variance in color from lipstick red to cranberry. I did not have a chance to see yellow version as they were out. Examine carefully before buying. I have the color red I wanted but at the price of having one tiny enameled spot missing plus some very thin spots. None of this detracts from the job this pot was designed to do...made a fabulous Waldorf Stew in it. Just remember, "Buyer Beware"
