useful & helpful
This is a great product to have if you bake a lot of cupcakes - particularly if you transport them to parties, get togethers, etc. My only frustration is that shortly after having the product the side "lock" handles broke - they lost a piece that holds them into lid before you close it. . .it still closes and thankfully I haven't lost the handles at a party b/c they don't stay attached unless the unit is locked. I would buy this product again - and I guess I will be if/when I lose my handles :)

Good for frosted cupcakes
I received this carrier as a wedding present from my registry. I've used it several times and like it. It is sturdy and I like the clasp mechanisms since they don't seem like they would come undone on their own. I also really like that the top tray has slightly deeper cups than any other two layer cupcake carrier I have seen. I think there is adequate space in the carrier for most frosted cupcakes, though I tend to put a lot of frosting on mine, so it's very close. I knocked off one star only because the plastic tray does start to sag a little bit after a few uses (especially if you put cupcakes on it while the tray is not layered on top of the cupcake pan - even if it only sits that way for a few minutes). Speaking of the cupcake pan, it's nice as well - non-stick and nice looking.

Great Idea
I love the cupcake carrier, it is a great idea and keeps the cupcakes looking great. However, one of the clips that holds the lid on broke the very first time I used the carrier. The carrier still does its job, I just have to hold it from the bottom instead of by the handle now.

When You've Got It, You'll Want To Bake More
If you attend potlucks, dinner/lunch/brunch parties, or especially if you have children, this is a useful product. I bought this new cupcake carrier for my twin boys' birthday celebration at their school. Cupcakes are so convenient to bring rather than cake since you don't need a knife and plates in order to serve them. Just a napkin and you are set!
FAVORITE FEATURE: My favorite feature is a cupcake baking pan included as part of the carrier. I was needing to buy an extra one anyway. The extra teir insert carried the ones I baked in another cupcake pan.
STEADY: It's sturdy and steady. I drove the cupcakes the 14 miles to the school and narry an incident. They got there intact. (Just make sure you put it on a flat surface, like the floor.)
DOME: The dome was high enough to accomodate the 'fancy' buttercream frosting/fruit topping I made. Depending on how much you have atop your creation, you can use or omit using the insert.
STORAGE: Because of the high dome, it can be considered a little big, so if you have storage issues, it does take up some space. I like that the cupcake pan stores inside upside down creating a flat surface and taking up a little less space when not in use.
As the Crate and Barrel associate said to me as I was contemplating the purchase because I wasn't sure how often I would actually use it, (I bought 2 since the boys' class had more than 24 students in it), her daughters have reported baking more cupcakes because they remember they have the carriers.
It's not limited to cupcakes, but you can carry muffins, mini quiches, or any other concoction you come up with. Then impress your appreciative family, friends or coworkers when you show up with them!

Flimsy
We made 2 dozen black bottom cupcakes, when we put the cupcakes in the top tier it bowed badly ruining the frosting of the bottom tier cup cakes

Must Have!!
I absolutely LOVE my cupcake carrier! I use mine all the time. Its the easiest way to transport cupcakes to parties, gatherings, parks and the beach! I love that I can bake them, frost them and take them. Every baker must have one of these!!

Adorable
This is an adorable cupcake carrier. It's great for muffins too, and I love that the bottom pan can be used in the oven. I would only recommend this if you make cupcakes often and/or have a lot of storage space in your kitchen.

Needs a better design!
I received this cupcake carrier a wedding shower gift. I added it to my registry and was excited when I received it. I love that you can use the bottom pan in the oven - that is great. However, if your cupcakes have any height on them and if you decide to add frosting, which you normally would, then the top plastic tray dips down in the middle and squishes the frosting on the cupcakes on the bottom tray. There needs to be some sort of a dowel in between the top and bottom try to prevent that dipping. This has happened more than once. I am so disappointed. Also, the handle on one side keeps popping off. It does click back in, but it is a nuisance. I actually added a different cupcake carrier to a registry I have at another store...and I hope I receive it.

Perfect for the go
This is a great way to have beautiful cupcakes by the time you get to your destination. It keeps them in place and separated so your frosting doesn't get destroyed while traveling. Great product.

Best Accessory
I purchased this item so I could bring cupcakes to my daughter's pre school to help celebrate her birthday. The cupcakes arrived in perfect shape and the handle made it easy for me to carry! I will use this cupcake carrier again and again as I bake for many more parties! It is also very attractive and helps make my cupcakes look professional.

Best Carrier Yet!
I have had a few carriers before and this one is by far the best. The clasps lock so once you hear the click you know it is locked in place. Cupcakes frosted and decorated fit in the carrier perfectly. I have no baked in the pan that comes with it but I assume it would work perfect.

Best cupcake carrier design yet!
This cupcake carrier is so convenient! I've had other ones but this is perfect because it incorporates the cupcake pan into it, making less to store. The raised platform also allows for a lot of room for icing. It is so easy to get the cupcakes in and out without messing up all of your hard work!

Great Find!
How often do you see a carrier that can transport 24 cupcakes? It's durable and sturdy, allowing you to carry your cupcakes just about anywhere! It's only *slight* downfall is that it is a tad bulky. I had trouble figuring out where to store this product when not in use.

Just what I needed
Cupcakes are the biggest rage and I was asked to make my secret recipe carrot cake cupcakes for my nephew and niece's baby shower! The cupcakes, all 48 of them, also needed to endure a 4 1/2 hour drive. These cupcake pans/ carriers ( I bought two) were just what I needed!! I was able to cook 12 in the pan and then store the 12 in the carrier, and then cook 12 more and keep them in the pan, so it held 24 cupcakes very effectively, times 2!! They arrived safely and were a big success! Also to note, I transferred them to two decorative cupcake holders also bought at Crate and Barrel! It made a beautiful display.
