Handy cake tester
This cake tester does what it is supposed to do - it lets you know if yor cake has cooked throughly or not when you push it into the cake and pull it out again. It's nice to have the big cupcake handle at the top because it doesn't get lost easily in my drawer like my last one did. The prong, however, is sort of rectangular in shape and leaves a visible hole where it was put into the cake. For a frosted cake, it would never be noticed, but if the cake is unfrosted, someone with sharp eyes might be able to see it. It says it's dishwasher safe, but I have always hand washed mine because that is easiest for me. Overall, a good tool to have in the kitchen.

Cute Cake Tester
This item is really cute. It does the job as advertised. I wish it were a bit thinner but other than that, it is great.

Perfect little tool
This is a great little tool to use instead of keeping a box of wooden toothpicks around just for this purpose. I used it on some gingerbread, and tested it while it was still under-done (stuck on gooey), and then again when it was done (flaked right off), and I will continue to use it in my baking!

No More Toothpicks!
I was always fumbling around my kitchen looking for a toothpick just as a cake was baking, and now I don't have to! This cake tester is easy to clean and can be used over and over (not like a cake covered toothpick!). Buy this before baking your next cake... You'll be glad you did!

Useful!
Great cake tester. I love the design and how thin it is. It's easy to clean, dishwasher safe. The only recommendation would be to have it much longer, so that testing the cake (cupcake, etc) would be to simply open the over door slightly and poke the cake, instead of having to slide the over rack out.

Best gift ever
For years I didn;t think this little item was necessary,then someone gave me one and I could'nt belive it ,no more looking for a toothpick or better yeat turkey stitching up metal things. Great gift for the newest baker and the oldest baker.

Cute, but easy to misplace
Love the look of this cake tester. I whip it out whenever I'm baking a cake. Definitely works well. Only gripe is that it's super thin and I have to rummage around to find it.

Had to Have
Of course it works just as well as any other, but I couldn't pass up the design! It's adorable, and we have to have some fun gadgets in the kitchen. Plus it goes so well with my Cupcake cookbook from Crate & Barrel!

Great Item
This is a great gift item...I received it as a gift and have given it to others. It works better than the old fashioned toothpick. Even my 80 year old Mom loves it!

Cute little gadget.
For years I've used bamboo skewers, but I've been looking for a non-disposable tester. It's a little shorter and thinner than I thought it would be, but it does the trick. It's cute too.
