Corroding
I am having the same issues some of the latest reviewers have mentioned - there is a dark powdery substance forming on the scoop that rubs off on your hands (and icecream!) so we can no longer use it - definitely not recommended.

Dark staining on handle
We received this ice cream scoop as a wedding gift and we have already had it replaced once at C&B. We're on our second one and we're just about ready to return it for good. The handle has developed dark staining as if it is coroding or rusting. We have never put it in the dishwasher and have no idea why this is happening. I'm concerned more than anything that the anti-freeze liquid inside may be the reasoning for this. The scoop works great but the discolouration of the scooper is disconcerning.

Coating is coming off
I have had this scoop for about 3 years and I just noticed that the gray coating is coming off in the ice cream when I scoop it. I love the scoop but may have it to quit using it.

Best Gift!
Strangely enough, this ended up being my favorite wedding gift. It wasn't extravagant or flashy but it works like a charm. It makes a very mundane and often difficult task easy and efficient. Highly recommended!

Best ice cream scoop ever!
This is by far our favorite wedding gift we received! It's a perfect scooper, the anti-freeze coating allows the scoop to easily scoop lovely helpings of ice cream. Would HIGHLY recommend it!

Good Ice Cream Scoop
This scoop is nice and sturdy as everyone says, but I do find that it won't instantly scoop the hardest of ice creams. Run it under hot water, and yes, it does great with super frozen ice cream. Overall, I've been pleased with it.

Wonderful Gift
We received this ice cream scoop for our wedding (my husband could live on ice cream, so we of course had to add this scoop to our registry..). This scoop is AMAZING...it has never been so easy or fun to scoop ice cream! In fact, my grandma eats a bowl of ice cream every night and my grandpa was complaining about how hard it is to scoop the ice cream...upon hearing this, I immediately ordered them a scoop and mailed it to them. Needless to say, they loved it:) HIGHLY recommended!

Have been waiting for this!
We purchased a cheap ice cream scoop from a basic retail store when we first moved into our home and it was very flimsy and difficult to work with. This scoop is amazing! Heavy duty.

Very nice but discolors after being in dishwasher
I love this ice cream scoop! It makes it so easy to scoop ice cream. It has a sharp edge that cuts the ice cream. My only negative point was that it was discolored after being washed in the dishwasher. I didn't know that fact so when I know it it was too late. Even if so, It still works and does a great job though.

Wise investment
If you EVER eat ice cream, invest in this ice cream scoop. It scoops even the hardest of ice cream with the greatest of ease. You'll never go back to regular scoop or spoon. It is well worth handwashing!

Super-Duper Ice Cream Scooper!!
Serving ice cream has not been one of my favorite tasks. My husband is a big ice cream lover and every time he would have ice cream he would say how he wanted an old-fashioned ice cream scooper. I bought this for him as a stocking stuffer and he loves it!!! He uses it all the time and I was surprised at how much I love it too!! The anti-freeze really works well to scoop out hard ice cream. You wind up with icr cream that looks nice in the bowl and I don't get ice cream all over myself trying to get it out! My only advice is to not let it soak in the sink or put in the dishwasher. This is another C &B item we will have for a long, long time :)

Amazing!
My husband and I registered for this for our October wedding and we love it. It makes scooping ice cream fun! It's so durable and easy to wash (we have no dishwasher) because of the sleek design. Love it and would highly recommend it.

Buy this scoop!
This ice cream scoop is the greatet scoop ever made. It makes dishing ice cream so easy! I wish I knew about this scoop years ago... it would have helped me through many pints of frozen, rock hard ice cream!

Ice Cream Lover!
This spoon takes all the grunt work out of scooping ice cream. Would like more of a rubber grip to keep handle from getting slippery.

Best ice cream scoop ever!
This was my husband's favorite wedding gift we received. He loves ice cream. We have owned several scoops in the past but none as great as this. It really is antifreeze and works like a charm every time. Would definitely recommend for ice cream lovers!!

Best Scoop!
I own two of these scoops, and I can't say enough good things about them! They scoop even the hardest ice cream out without needing much "elbow grease," and I eat enough ice cream to know! The only issue I have is that they cannot go in the dishwasher, but I'm even ok with that, cause they are so worth it.

A Dream
You'd think that nothing could make ice cream taste better, but this scoop sure does the trick because it gives you such beautiful scoops of ice cream! :) It's worth the investment! Remember not to put it in the dishwasher!
