love C&B gadgets, but the angle on the cheese plane is so narrow all I get are slivers of cheese, and they do not look attractive on crackers

Looks nice but doesn't work
I brought this because it looked stylish. Unfortunately, it does a terrible job at slicing cheese. You have to press down pretty hard to get a slice and you can't get a full slice, no matter how hard you try. My cheddar just looked shaved-not sliced. The cheap cheese plan I got with a christmas gift basket works better than this.

Very disappointed
I bought this cheese plane for my daughter and she was very excited until we tried to use it at her housewarming party and it wouldn't even shave the cheese. Very upset.

Reluctantly Recommended
This cheese plane is better than any other that I've tried, but I'm not crazy about it. The plane is kind of flimsy. If you plan to use this cheese plane often, I would not recommend it, as I don't believe that it will have a long life span. However, if this is something you will only use occasionally, it's an OK purchase. Nice style, easy to clean. We always clean it in the dishwasher, and it still looks great.
