Keeps Even the Tiniest Leaves In
I went to my local Crate and Barrel the other day looking for a solution to my (very used) tea infuser. Looking for something that actually clamped, but also had small holes for all types of tea leaves, I came across this beauty. It doesn't take much effort to press open (which is a big deal if you're juggling cups and tea bags like me) but good at staying shut. It's a lovely design and I will be purchasing more soon.

great for individual use
I use this mainly to brew loose leaf green tea and have had the product for about 3-4 months. I use it 5-6 times a week and it works exactly as described. I like it so much that I just bought two more to send to my parents.

Not perfect
The main problem with this infuser is its size. I have not had any problems with tea leaves escaping it. However, it takes up A LOT of room in the mug. This can result in a smaller cup of tea than you intended. On the plus side, if you always forget to leave room for cream when pouring the water then this infuser will ensure that never happens. Perhaps this is best used in a tea pot?

Tea Time
One can never have too many tea accessories. This one is great since the holes are super small and that helps to keep the loose tea leaves inside. It is better than other tea infusers we have tried and clean up is simple!

Great for your own unique tea taste
I got one of these as a wedding gift. I really like it and had to buy another so that others could enjoy with me. I love that I can make my own tea flavor and mix it up each time!

Wouldn't Recommend
I bought this right after I started drinking loose leaf tea and it work just fine for a few months.
Small tea particles would escape and end up floating in my tea, but not the end of the world.
About 8 months after I bought it, it stopped closing all the way. A few weeks later, it came completely unsoldered and ended up in two pieces.
I'm very unimpressed with this Crate and Barrel infuser.

Great so far
I have used this over a dozen times and it has yet to break. I have not cleaned it in the dishwasher, always wash by hand .

Completely bogus
C & B stuff is usually solid and always looks good, and the price for this infuser is very reasonable, as you can see.
Don't buy this product -- it's completely bogus. After one use, the metal head was sufficiently misaligned that a crack the size of a millimeter had appeared -- plenty of room for most of the tea to fall out. What is this made of, tin?
Look elsewhere. $4 isn't much to waste, but why even waste that much?

Fantastic!
This is infuser is great! Much bigger than the old scissor-handled one I have (one of my daughters-in-law to be wants it).
I looked everywhere since I couldn't remember where I got it, lucked into this one and should have bought 3 or 4 while I was there.
Seems to be sturdy enough, so far (not like tea infusers get rough treatment). Have not tried it in the dishwasher yet but I will.
Love it - thanks!

Tea-riffic!
We really like these tea infusers. They close very tightly (so as to keep the loose tea inside instead of floating in the drink), and the solid-metal-poked-with-holes design of the ball is a lot easier to clean than wire mesh tea balls (which I've also owned and don't like as much).

broke with little use
Hardly used it and it broke. Washed by hand, never in the dishwasher. Would not buy again.

Poorly made
This worked great the first couple times I used it...then half the ball popped right off when I was rinsing it under a little water :(
The ball is only attached by a tiny dot of solder, I'll be getting something more durable instead.

A must for the house!
Ok, this tea infuser is the best product I ever! It's a must and a great price! I probably would have paid triple the price for it. My guests love coming over and making tea at my house becuase now I have about 5 of these little guys and everyone can each individually make their own tea and make it exactly how strong they like it.
I highly recommend!

Great!
The Scissor Handled Tea Infuser is a perfect stocking stuffer or birthday gift topper! The quality of the product is great! And the best part...it's dishwasher safe!

Convenient tool
I'm glad I purchased this tea infuser. I use it regularly. My parents were impressed with it. You can wash it in the diswasher, but there's really no point for that since you have to open it and run it under the water to get some of the leaves out.

Good, not great
This infuser is not bad, and not the best either. It is practical, good looking and pretty durable. However, the sides don't close tight enough to really keep loose tea in its place. I don't personally mind a few leaves floating around, but some might.
