great trash can
I have been looking for a nice looking trash can because it will be out in the open in my kitchen, no space to hide one under the sink. I wanted one that is semi round so it would fit up against the wall and I also wanted one that is sleek and modern looking. I like that this one is finger print resistant and I love the quiet close lid. If it's possible to love a trash can then I do love this trash can, and I'm glad I waited until I found the right one.

Simplehuman, simple fab.........
I love,love ,love this trash can. It is almost offensive to call it a trash a can let's call it a 'refuse reseptical'. Sleek , beautiful, a snap to keep clean because it is brushed stainless steel. Love the way it lid closes,It really adds class a kitchen.

Simple Human Trashcan
This trashcan is great! It doesn't show fingerprints and has an inner compartment for the trashbag. It also has another mechanism that allows the lid to slowly close, which makes a nice, quiet sound

As in love as I ever could be with a trash can
I agree with the reviews. This is a premium trash can (if there ever could be such a thing). I love the fingerprint resistant brushed stainless surface and whisper close lid, and it is very easy to replace the liner bags without having excess bag hanging over. Has a huge capacity too.

premium price, but very good
This is a case of you get what you pay for. This was costly for a trash can, but the trash can is designed very well. The non-fingerprint stainless steel is a miracle. How do they do that? It always looks clean. Also, the process of removing and putting in new bags is very good.

Pretty Darn Good Trash Can
I have had this trash can for over a year and a half and I love it. It is large, so it can hold a lot of garbage before you have to think about emptying it. Additionally, the inside liner is plaster so you can lift it out (with the bag in it) and cary it to the outside trash can/dumpster without leaking on your floors. I love the "step opener." It makes it convenient when hands are dirty and/or full. The only thing I would recommend would be to have stainless steel cleaner on hand b/c the outside finish looks dirty if you try and clean it with anything else.

Good but not perfect
This trash can is sturdy and fits well with the semi-round shape. However, changing the trash bag is a bit of a hassle (I actually don't like having to lift the entire inner bucket out) and the lid tends to come "unhooked" from the base if something catches it. Other than that, we've been happy with it. It looks good and the spring in the hinge has held up quite well.

Love it!
My husband and I purchased this produc with a wedding gift certificate we had and we absolutely love it. It's very sleek and looks nice and to top it off, it doesn't smudge like other stainless steel products do. We highly recommend this!

Looks Great
Normally I would not rave about any trash can but I have had a simple human trash can now through 4 moves and 6 years and it still looks amazing. Skip the stainless steel cleaners... All I use is windex and it removes finger prints to food stains. I also recommend getting the trash bags made for the can... They really do fit that much better.

LOVE THIS GARBAGE CAN
I have had this for about 2 months now and am sold on the intelligent design. It is well made, functional, and attractive. I find it remarkably easy to use. It is pricey but hands down the best garbage can I have used in my kitchen.

Cool trashcan
We love our new Simplehuman - it's so cool, holds so much more trash than our other standard trashcan (because the bags fit so perfectly, and it keep the smell and sight of trash nicely hidden from view.

Worth the money!
We have honestly received tons of compliments on this garbage can! It doesn't get finger prints, conceals the bag inside, keeps smells inside and looks nice sitting out in the kitchen.

Satisfied Splurge
Bought this trash can 2 years ago with a wedding gift certificate. Definitely worth the money. The shape fits cleanly against any wall, and the product itself is very durable. My only gripe, like another reviewer, is that the surface smudges very easily. I just wipe it clean when I'm cleaning the kitchen counters, it comes out pretty clean.

Love it!
Great garbage can - easy to put in the bags and easy to clean when things drip because the inside comes out. Holds a lot and is nice looking because it is stainless. Definitely would buy again!

Wonderful Product!
I bought this product to go in my first home. The shape of it has to be my favorite. While my kitchen was never big, it never got in the way. The lid kept odors trapped inside, and I even went an extra step and attached a deodorizer to the top of the can. It was the perfect size. I only had to take out the trash about once a week, but I was also living alone.
The only problems I had with this can was how easily it would smudge and get dirty. I recommend using stainless steel wipes on the can. I didn't and scratched the surface.
Also, while pulling a heavy trash bag from the can, I knocked the lid, disabling it from opening and closing with the foot pedal. It snapped back into place very easily.
Overall, a wonderful product, but I wouldn't recommend it if you don't want to wipe it down about once a day.
