Worth the money
This trash can looks very attractive next to my stainless steel appliances. The small size actually makes it a perfect fit next to our back door. I would definitely reccommend this product ... especially for an apartment dweller with limited space.

THe perfect slim footprint!
I have owned several large kitchen trash cans in my life and I feel that this one is the best! I needed the slim style for my renovated kitchen. This handsome stainless step can looks beautiful with all my other appliances and fits in its spot so as to allow pass through room around my kitchen island. I could not be happier with its functional style. I use standard trash bags mostly since it is easy to tighten the bag into place so it fits well. This way, when I take out a full bag, I have room to empty the trash from the bathrooms too! I am totally happy with this quiet can.

terrible!
we bought this primarily because of its advertised "whisper-close lid," which is meant to keep bugs and pests that might be attracted to trash OUT. Be warned - fruit flies will definitely find their way in!

best wedding gift
I got this trash can for a wedding gift and i love it. I like how the lid doesn't slam shut and its also finger proof. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a nice trash can.

sleek, stylish
i purchased this for recycling as i keep my trash under the sink. we have a small condo and everything has to have it's place AND look good. this trash can not only serves a great purpose, it looks GREAT in my kitchen and gets along well with the other stainless appliances. it's so attractive that it looks more like furniture vs a "trash can". great size and functionality. highly recommend it. even with a husband that seems to think touching all the stainless is a sport - no marks on the finger-proof finish!

Opening Direction Sells It
I did a lot of reseach before I bought this can, It rec'd positive comments everywhere I looked but seemed a little pricey for a trash can! I love that it opens in the direction it does! Easy to keep clean. Buy the bags that go with it and it will keep the streamlined appearance.

So far so good
We've had this for over a month and really like it. It is a bit pricey, but worth it in my opinion. The lid does not slam shut and it fits right up against the edge of our counter without taking up too much space since it's narrow. My friend got one too and she loves it.

Simplehuman is Simpleawesome
We recently purchased a 3rd floor walkup condo and needed a trash can that would (a) hold a lot of stuff (who wants to schlep trash up and down three flights of stairs several times a week), and (b) keeps those lingering trashy smells inside. This trashcan fit the bill. It contains smell very well and holds a good amount of trash. The design and stainless steel finish perfectly complement our renovated kitchen. The slim profile also allows us to sneak this can into a small spot without it looking crammed. Our kid also likes the nice foot pedal action.
