Who founded Crate & Barrel?
Crate&Barrel was founded by Gordon and Carole Segal in 1962. The newlyweds had just discovered simple white European dinnerware on their honeymoon and decided their hometown friends needed it, too. They opened their first location in Chicago in 1962. Sixty years (and hundreds of home stores) later, our mission remains the same: to bring beautiful design and great value into the homes of our friends and family.

Does Crate & Barrel Canada have stores in Quebec?
Although Crate & Barrel no longer has a store in the Quebec province, customers can still order online and get their purchases delivered to their door or pick up select qualifying purchases from the Montreal warehouse by appointment only. Today there are 5 Crate & Barrel Canada stores throughout Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario.

What is the difference between Crate & Barrel and CB2?
CB2 is a high-design furniture and home decor store with collections ranging from contemporary pieces to rediscovered vintage icons. All crafted with premium materials and exceptional quality.

Cardholders will earn 20% back instead of 10% back in Reward Dollars for every $1.00 in net merchandise purchases (minus returns, refunds or credit adjustments) made at Crate & Barrel (including Crate & Kids) or CB2 catalogs, stores or websites located in the United States from May 18–30, 2023, unless the Special Financing Option is chosen. Gift Cards do not earn double rewards. Accrued Reward Dollars will be posted to your Reward Dollars balance within 1–2 billing cycles from when the purchase is posted to your Account and will automatically be redeemed for Reward Certificates within 1–2 billing cycles when the threshold (currently 20 Reward Dollars) is met. Reward Certificates are issued in $20 increments with a maximum of 10,000 Reward Dollars being redeemed in any one billing cycle and are valid for 90 days. The full amount of the Reward Certificate must be used at time of redemption (any remaining amount not used is forfeited).
